Are there any additional costs for buying or selling phones on mBazaar?
None at all. mBazaar is a service designed to only help you find the right buyers and sellers and exchange contact details with them. There are absolutely no charges for listing or searching for phones except the cost of the sms which (normally up to Rs 3). Thereafter how you do the deal and at what price is none of our business :)

How do I know if buyer or seller is from my city?
Users from anywhere in India can list or search for phones on mBazaar. But when you search for a phone we identify your region (circle) basis your mobile number and show you phones listed in your region only. The same logic applies when you list a phone too. What this basically means is for example buyers in Mumbai will not see listings of sellers from anywhere else except Mumbai.

How recent or dated are the listings on mBazaar? 
Not more than a month max. Any product listed on mBazaar is automatically removed from the database after 30 days. In fact sellers can remove their lisiting any time if the phone is sold earlier so the chances are that whatever you find on mBazaar is definitely up for sale.

Is my contact number visible to everyone on mBazaar?
Certainly not. Only if a buyer shows interest in a listing chooses to get the sellers details, then the numbers of both parties be sent to each other automatically via sms. 

How can I better the chances of selling my phone?
Think like a buyer. Just do 2 simple things. First, make sure that the price you’re asking for is a fair price else you may lose the interest of potential buyers at the first stage itself. Second, add a description about your phone since buyers are always looking for more details before making a decision.

Do I need to open a GiftMate account separately?
In this day and age of cutting edge technology you needn’t bother. The moment you list or search for a phone the first time your GiftMate account is automatically created and you receive a 4-digit Pin via SMS. So your mobile number acts like your username and the Pin like your password. That’s all. You start earning from your very first sms exchange with mBazaar.

Do I need to earn a minimum amount of GiftMate credit to redeem it?
No. You can spend your GiftMate credit from the first day itself. However, it may be difficult to find products and services available for 1 or 2 rupees. So the more money you accumulate in your GiftMate account the more options you have to spend it on.

Is mBazaar available only on 5667711?
mBazaar is not restricted to only one short-code. They are adding new partners constantly to bring in more sellers and more buyers. So you may find one of our partners promoting the same service on their short-code but its one and the same thing. You see the same listings and even continue to earn GiftMate credits. Just make sure it mBazaar that you are interacting with and not some ‘wannabe’ mobile classifieds service trying to ape us.

Your mobile is now listed for free on mBazaar for 30 days and buyers in your city searching for this phone model will be able to see your listing. Interested buyers will then contact you directly and you too will receive a sms alert with contact number of interested buyers.

Remember, your listing will be removed automatically from mBazaar after 30 days and if you want to remove it before that for some reason (lets say your phone is sold) just sms MREMOVE to 5667711.

Buying a Mobile?

Step 1 – Searching for a mobile

You will receive a response sms with list of all Nokia E71 phones listed for sale in your city and the expected price.

Step 2 – Getting phone & seller details
If you would like to get the sellers contact details sms
MGET to 5667711
E.g. MGET 1

You will receive a sms with the contact number of the seller as well as a short description of the phone (if added by the seller). You can then contact the seller directly or wait for the sellers call since he/ she too will receive a sms alert with your contact number.
